Hagens Berman Axeon is excited to announce the signing of Sean Quinn. The 18-year-old from Los Angeles, California joins Axeon from the U.S.A. based juniors team LUX Development Cycling Team.

“Joining Hagens Berman Axeon and turning professional marks an important step in my career as a bike racer,” said Quinn. “Joining one of the top development programs in the world means that I will have incredible support to improve as a rider. I am also excited to be part of a team that rides as one unit in all of the races, and to work as best as I can to help the team accomplish great things.”

Since placing 5th at the 2017 Tour du Pays de Vaud and winning the 2017 Tour of the Gila Cat 1/2 race, Quinn has continued to set his sights higher. In 2018, he earned a 9th place finish at LVM Saarland Trofeo and two 7th place finishes at Tour du Pays de Vaud and Course de la Paix Juniors. Quinn capped off the season with a top 10 result at the Junior World Road Race Championships in Innsbruck, Austria.

Quinn considers himself to be a good climber, but also a solid all around rider who can compete in stage races.

“I hope to improve my capacity so that I can begin to compete while also helping the team in longer races,” said Quinn. “I want to gain as much high level racing experience as I can.”

Quinn is the third rider to join the 2019 Hagens Berman Axeon roster.
