Samuele Privitera Earns Penultimate Place on Hagens Berman Axeon's 2024 Roster

The Hagens Berman Axeon Cycling Team continues its strong signing season with the addition of Samuele Privitera. Samuele joins Axeon from Team Fratelli Giorgi.

“For me, being part of this team is truly an honor,” said an excited Samuele. “I have been following the team since Almeida raced here. Last year, I was an intern at the team's camp in Tuscany and I really fell in love with Axel's passion and the organization of the team. I'm here to do my part to help the team and see "our shirt” win.”

Samuele’s 2023 Palmares:

Trofeo Buffoni Juniors - 3rd place


The 18-year-old from Soldano, Italy considers himself a climber more than anything else and “a rider who goes strong as the kilometers pass,” he said. “Next year I would like to improve my climbing characteristics more and more and certainly think I’m on the right team to do so.”
“Samuele has been at camp with us at the beginning of the year and showed great mentality and decent results through the year,” said team owner and director Axel Merckx. “Samuele has shown that he is eager to learn and .”
Samuele is the fifth rider scheduled to join the Hagens Berman Axeon Cycling Team in 2024 after Ben Wiggins, Hamish McKenzie, Mattia Sambinello, and Adam Rafferty.
