Mattia Sambinello set to join Hagens Berman Axeon '24 squad

The Hagens Berman Axeon Cycling Team is excited to confirm the signing of Mattia Sambinello to the team in 2024. Mattia joins Axeon from Canturino 1902 A.s.d..

The 17-year-old from Vergiate, Italy hopes to learn a lot and earn some significant results. “I worked very hard at Liberazione di Massa and am proud of my second place finish,” said Mattia. “As a complete rider, being a sprinter but also a climber, I hope to make an impact with the team next season.”

“Mattia has been consistent and getting stronger over the years,” said team owner and director Axel Merckx. “He has shown good test results and has a great mentality. I’m looking forward to him joining us next season.”

Mattia is the third rider set to join the Hagens Berman Axeon Cycling Team in 2024 after Hamish McKenzie and Ben Wiggins.
