Alongside the Tarmac Pro Race road bike, Axeon riders will be racing time trial stages on black and white Specialized S-Works Shivs. These are fitted with the SRAM eTap electronic groupset, Quarq power meters and a Zipp cockpit. Wheel choice depends on weather and course conditions but will include the Zipp Super 9 disc, paired with either the new Zipp NSW 808 front wheel, Firecrest 808 or Firecrest 404.
For 2017, Axeon riders will be racing with both the new RED eTap groupset and the mechanical RED 22 groupset continuing a long and successful partnership with SRAM.
All Axeon team bikes are fitted with the SRAM RED Quarq power meter providing accurate power and cadence data to the riders.
The RED power meter features Power Balance TM and OmniCal TM and comes equipped with SRAM's x-GlideR chainrings. Integrated electronics minimise interconnections and reduce exposure to the elements, bringing unmatched durability and reliability.
Raceworks offers riders a new perspective on race and training data. Through tight integration with Strava the team are able to visualise and analyse their routes in 3D.
Much of the Raceworks data is shared with fans on the Axeon website and more public functionality is on its way soon.
