Racing On Two Continents This Week

The Axeon Hagens Berman Cycling Team will compete in a pair of stage races on two continents this week.

Seven riders will compete in the Tour de Beauce, which begins Wednesday in Saint-Georges, Canada. The five-day, six-stage race includes three road races, a time trial and a circuit race comprising 644 kilometers.

Racing in Canada is an all-American line-up of Will Barta, Geoffrey Curran, Greg Daniel, Colin Joyce, Logan Owen, Neilson Powless and Tyler Williams. Daniel will start a race for the first time since winning the United States professional road title last month while Powless – best young rider at the Amgen Tour of California – continues to lead the USA Cycling Pro Road Tour individual standings. Owen was a solo winner of the Under 23 edition of Liège-Bastogne-Liège in April.

In France, six Axeon Hagens Berman riders will compete at the Tour de Savoie Mont Blanc, which begins Thursday. All six of them – American Adrien Costa, Irish Under 23 national road champion Eddie Dunbar, Tao Geoghegan Hart of Great Britain, Ruben Guerreiro of Portugal, Latvian Under 23 national road champion Krists Neilands and American Phil O'Donnell – have scored victories this season. The four-day, five-stage race includes four road races and a time trial in totaling 527 kilometers.

Riders: Adrien Costa (USA), Eddie Dunbar (IRE), Tao Geoghegan Hart (GBR), Ruben Guerreiro (POR), Krists Neilands (LAT), Phil O'Donnell (USA). Sport Director: Axel Merckx (BEL).
