Hagens Berman Axeon is excited to announce the signing of Jarrad Drizners. The 20-year-old from Adelaide, South Australia joins Axeon from InForm TM Insight MAKE.

“Joining Hagens Berman Axeon is a very special feeling,” said Drizners. “Axeon is a team that I have looked up to over the years, so to be given the opportunity to ride for them is amazing.”

The young Aussie had one of the biggest years of his racing career winning a U23 national title in the criterium, the GC/overall victory at Tour of King Valley (as well as stage 2), and winning the UCI Blast Criterium in Brisbane. Drizners also showed his talent and flexibility in 2019 by earning third place finishes on the track at the Hong Kong UCI World Cup Team Pursuit as well as the Australian Elite Men’s Individual Pursuit.

Drizners will add depth to the current Hagens Berman Axeon roster as he excels in short climbs, crosswinds, criteriums, and bunch sprints. Throughout the season, he hopes to improve on his overall climbing ability and time trialing.

“Jarrad brings a lot of potential to the team,” said sport director Jeff Louder. “His focus has been split between road and track and he has excelled in both. He has proven to be a strong competitor on home soil and in Europe and I expect to see him continue to continue his development as a fast finisher and hard man on the international stage.”

Drizners is the second rider to join the 2020 Axeon roster.
