Hagens Berman Jayco is excited to announce the signing of Giacomo Serangeli, one of Italy’s most promising young riders, who will join the team for the 2026 season. Serangeli has built a reputation as a consistent performer in stage races and Italian classics, collecting key results including 1st overall at the Tour of Basilicata, 2nd at Eroica Juniores, and 3rd on a stage of the Valromey Junior Tour. He also finished 7th at the Bernardreau Junior and has accumulated multiple top-10 finishes in national-level races throughout the season.

Serangeli’s 2025 campaign further showcased his development. He opened the year with a win and a third-place finish in Friuli, demonstrating sharp early-season form. Later in the summer, he added another GC victory at the Giro Trofeo dell’Aglianico del Vulture, solidifying his status as a strong all-around rider. “Joining Hagens Berman Jayco is a dream come true,” Serangeli said. “I wasn’t expecting it, and that’s why I’m even more excited. I’m pumped, motivated, and can’t wait to start giving it my all wearing these colors.”

Team owner and director Axel Merckx sees Serangeli as an ideal fit for the team’s development pathway. “Giacomo is a rider with both results and upside,” Merckx said. “He races with confidence, reads races well, and has shown he can win stage races and perform in classics. We believe he will progress quickly in our environment.”

Hagens Berman Jayco looks forward to helping Serangeli continue his growth as he steps into the U23 ranks for the 2026 season.
