Hagens Berman Jayco’s Adam Rafferty delivered a standout performance on Stage 5 of the Giro Next Gen, sprinting to the win in the heart of Cremona. The 20-year-old Irish rider held his nerve through a fast, technical finish to claim one of the most significant victories of his young career.

“This is massive for him,” said Owner and Director Axel Merckx. “The team was incredible all day. They kept him safe, kept him fresh, and put him exactly where he needed to be. I’m so proud of his result.”

The flat stage brought high speeds and heavy pressure from the gun, but Rafferty and his teammates stayed sharp throughout.

Rafferty’s victory adds to a strong season for Hagens Berman Jayco and signals the rising Irish talent as one to watch in the U23 ranks.
