The Hagens Berman Jayco Cycling Team was excited to sign Carl Emil Just Pedersen for the 2025 season. Carl joined HBJ squad from CeramicSpeed Herning CK Junior.
“It means a lot to me to become a part of Hagens Berman Jayco, as it is always a team I have looked up to and been a fan of,” said Carl. “It is really a team that develops many good cyclists, so it means a lot to me to be able to join the team and further my career.”

1st place GC Cottbuser Juniors (1st place in the TT)
1st place Keizer der Juniores Stage 2 (TT)
2nd place Denmark Junior Time Trial Nationals
2nd place GC Tour de Himmelfart Juniors (2 stage podiums)
8th place Junior World Championships Time Trial
3 top 6 finishes at Course de la Paix Juniors
The 19-year-old from Herning, Denmark is a time-trailer and sprinter, but also finds himself quite capable in hard, Classics-style races. “For 2025, I hope to get better at riding uphill, also just develop as a cyclist and help the team as much as I can,” he said.
“Carl is a very good time-trialist and up-and-comer,” said team owner and director Axel Merckx. “He has a lot going for him with good numbers and some solid wins. With a good attitude, an eagerness to learn, and high ambition, I think he’s the ideal type of rider to develop over the years. I’m looking forward to having him on the team and seeing what he can achieve. ”
