The Hagens Berman Jayco Cycling Team was excited to confirm the signing of a second Italian rider, Mattia Sambinello, to the team in 2024. Mattia joined Axeon from Canturino 1902 A.s.d..

The 18-year-old from Vergiate, Italy hopes to learn a lot and earn some significant results. “I worked very hard at Liberazione di Massa and am proud of my second place finish,” said Mattia. “As a complete rider, being a sprinter but also a climber, I hope to make an impact with the team next season.”

“Mattia has been consistent and getting stronger over the years,” said team owner and director Axel Merckx. “He has shown good test results and has a great mentality. I’m looking forward to him joining us next season.”
