Wil Holmes continued his progression with Hagens Berman Jayco throughout the 2025 season, building on his reputation as one of the most promising young time trialists to come out of Australia in recent years. After a successful transition into the U23 ranks, Holmes focused on developing race craft, durability, and consistency across a demanding calendar while continuing to show his class against the clock.
Palmares
2025
4th National Championships Australia U23 ITT
12th National Championships Australia U23 Road Race
Previous Highlights:
Australian Junior National Champion ITT
4th Junior World Championships ITT
5th Liège Bastogne Liège Junior
World Record holder 3km Junior Individual Pursuit
Holmes continues to excel in short, high-power time trials and punchy terrain, while steadily improving his climbing and stage race endurance. His long-term focus remains becoming a complete GC-capable rider.
“Wil keeps taking important steps forward each season,” said team owner and director Axel Merckx. “His ability in the time trial is obvious, but what has impressed us most is his commitment to improving every aspect of his racing. He has a great attitude toward development and still has a very high ceiling.”
