Words: Chad Childers Stripes Date: 10 March 2018

Jasper 1

There may not be another rider more ready to continue his successes from last year into 2018 than Jasper Philipsen.

The 20-year-old Belgian had a most impressive year in 2017, winning both Le Triptyque des Monts et Chateaux and Paris-Tours U23, finishing 2nd at Ronde van Vlaanderen (Tour of Flanders), 2nd at ZLM Tour, as well as stage victories at at the Giro d’Italia U23.

With the one-day Classics being his favorite type of race, Philipsen is eager to get his shot in 2018.

"I want to do my best and try to win some races that suit me," said Philipsen. "I hope to learn and improve a lot this year." In addition to being fully committed to giving his all this year, it appears that he will fit right in, appreciating the close-knit atmosphere that the team shares and getting to be better friends with his teammates.
