Junior National Champion has a nice ring to it. Especially when your success is shared by your team. “Winning Junior Nationals in 2017 was a really big deal to me. Not only was it my first national championship, but it was also my team's (NCCF/Specialized Juniors) first 17-18 Road Race National Championship in its 11 years of attending.”
Growing up near alumni rider Neilson Powless, Davis saw first hand the opportunity and development potential in riding with the Hagens Berman Axeon. “When I first joined, I was most excited about knowing that I was in a program that has a record of consistently developing riders at a high level and having the patience to let them develop at their own rate,” said Davis.
Davis returns to Hagens Berman Axeon for his third year, vowing to help secure as many team victories in 2020 as possible, by his own efforts as well as his teammate’s.
There are a lot of events on the schedule that I am really looking forward to, but if I had to choose just one it would have to be U23 Paris-Roubaix,” he said. “In the pro ranks, it is the biggest one day race in the world with lots of history. To compete on the same course (minus some of the distance) is special. It will be my first time racing Roubaix this season so I do not fully know what to expect, but I feel like the cobblestone roads could be a strength of mine.”
