Cole's Story

Words: Chad Childers Stripes Date: 10 March 2020

Cole 1

Junior National Champion has a nice ring to it. Especially when your success is shared by your team. “Winning Junior Nationals in 2017 was a really big deal to me. Not only was it my first national championship, but it was also my team's (NCCF/Specialized Juniors) first 17-18 Road Race National Championship in its 11 years of attending,” said Cole.

Growing up near alumni rider Neilson Powless, Davis saw first hand the opportunity and development potential in riding with the Hagens Berman Axeon. “When I first joined, I was most excited about knowing that I was in a program that has a record of consistently developing riders at a high level and having the patience to let them develop at their own rate,” he said.

Before the 2020 met its end due to the pandemic, Cole earned a top 20 finish at Dorpenomloop Rucphen in early March, as well as two 20th place finishes on stages at Tour de Wallonie and the U23 Giro d’Italia.

Davis returns to Hagens Berman Axeon for his fourth year, vowing to help secure as many team victories in 2021 as possible, by his own efforts as well as his teammate’s.
