Jonny's Story

Words: Chad Childers Stripes Date: 10 March 2018

Jonny 1

The 2016 USA Cycling national road championships will go down as one of Jonny Brown's most memorable moments.

"It is the first year we dominated and it will be talked about for years to come," he said. "My dad (David Brown) actually directed the team at nationals a couple years ago when Tanner Putt won the Under 23 national title. That was just a big shock. But in 2016, we knew we would do well. But we didn't think we were going to go 1-2-3-4-5-6-7."

The younger brother of former Axeon rider Nathan Brown – who is now in his third year with the team – said he aims to change things up and do more racing in Europe.

"My goals are pretty open this year," said Brown. “It’s going to be a new set of races for me so I’m going to get out there and do my best.”
