Another rider that joins the team after an extremely successful 2017 is the Ronde van Vlaanderen Juniors Champion, Maikel Zijlaard. The Dutchman also notched victories at Omloop van de Maasvallei and Zepperen-Zepperen as well as an impressive 10th place finish at Paris-Roubaix Espoirs.

Zijlaard, having never visited the United States before Team Camp in February, has a lot to look forward to beyond racing bikes. "I look forward to cooperating with the staff, with Koos and Axel, all of the parts that fell in one with the team," he said. "I heard the team feels like a family and the results of the team are really good as well."

It's no surprise that the Tour of Flanders Juniors Champion prefers the Classics and races in Belgium and the Netherlands. While ready for his chance, Zijlaard will do whatever he can forward his teammates. "I think 2018 will be a big learning year since I'm much younger compared to the other riders on the team," said Zijlaard. "I will try to do the most for the team."
